Kanpur's gangster Vikash Dubey's men killed 8 UP Police personnel by firing on them on 2020-07-02. Immediately thereafter, he went into hiding. Yogi Adityanath's government rolled out a massive manhunt for the dreaded criminal.
On Thursday, 2020-07-09 a flower seller at the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain spotted Dubey in the morning. Dubey had bought a ₹250 ticket to offer pujas. The flower seller instantly informed the lady police officer, Ruby Yadav who heads the security arrangements at the temple.
The gangster was eventually arrested from the temple premises.
