Didir Kirti - Mamata and her TMC MLAs vandalized Vidhan Sabha on 2006-11-30

On the instigation of Mamata Banerjee, a slice of priceless history dating back to the British era lay in ruins on Thursday, November 30, 2006. After providing the inspiration, the lady sat and oversaw the mindless vandalism of Vidhan Sabha in Kolkata by her TMChii MLAs. 

Broken teakwood furniture lay strewn all over, wooden floorings were ripped off, electrical wirings under the floorings were torn apart. The damage was estimated to be in excess of ₹15 lakhs. 
After the incident, the erstwhile Left government had thrown open the gates of Vidhan Sabha for citizens to walk in to view the aftermath of the vandalism.

After being sworn in as the CM of West Bengal in May 2011, Mamata shamelessly denied her presence and involvement in the vandalism. 
Senior advocate cum Congress leader Arunava Ghosh (who was also there in TMC for a short while) during a chit chat with senior journalist cum BJP leader, revealed that Mamata should be given some pills which would make the lady to speak the truth.
