জেনে বুঝেই বোমটা মেরেছেন TMC মন্ত্রি সাধন পাণ্ডে (Sadhan Pande) । মন্ত্রিত্ব যাবেনা । এই মুহূর্তে সেটা নেওয়ার ক্ষমতাও মমতার নেই । এটা সাধন পাণ্ডে ভালো ভাবে জানেন । পোড় খাওয়া রাজনীতিবিদ । দুর্বল সময়ে হিট করার সুযোগ ছাড়া  উচিৎ নয় । সেটাই করেছেন তিনি । দলের ভেতরে  নিজের বাজার দরটা বাড়ানোর জন্য ।   

গাছ কাটতে বেরিয়ে সংবাদ মাধ্যমকে সাধন পাণ্ডে যা যা বলেছেন :

১)। ববি হাকিম অপদার্থ । চূড়ান্ত অপদার্থ ।
২)। ঝড়ের খবর এক সপ্তাহ আগে পাওয়ার পরও আমাদের কলকাতার বিধায়কদের সঙ্গে কোন পরামর্শটাও করেনি ।
৩)। সাড়ে ৫ হাজার গাছ কাটতে ২৫টা যন্ত্র !
৪) খলিল আহমেদ এর মত দক্ষ অফিসারদের সরিয়ে দিল !!
৫)। রেশন ব্যবস্থাতেও চূড়ান্ত দুর্নীতির আশ্রয় । কলকাতা কর্পোরেশনও তার শরিক।
৬) CESC র মনোপলি কেন থাকবে ? মুম্বাই এর মত tata আর best দুটো কোম্পানি থাকবে না কেন ?
     
অঙ্ক করে জল মেপে বলেলেন কথাগুলো । তৃণমূলের বেশ কিছু নেতার মনের কথা এগুলো । সুব্রত মুখার্জি হাকিমকে একহাত নিয়েছিলেন ক'দিন আগেই । কাল নিলেন সাধন পাণ্ডে । শোভন চ্যাটার্জি, পার্থ চ্যাটার্জি প্রত্যেকেই প্রচণ্ড ক্ষুব্ধ হাকিমের চালে চলনে । সুব্রত মুখার্জি একান্তে সাংবাদিককে বলেওছেন - দক্ষিণ বঙ্গে এমনিতেই আমাদের ধ্বস শুরু হয়েছে । হাকিম কফিনে শেষ পেরেকটা পুঁতছেন ।   

কিন্তু যার বোঝার কথা তিনি কি বুঝছেন ? বুঝছেন । কিন্তু তাঁরও আজ আর করার কিছু নেই । হাতে বিকল্প কোন faceও নেই । ২০০৩ এ টালির চালে ঢিল মেরে যার রাজনৈতিক উত্থান তাকেতো পরম স্নেহে তিনিই তুলেছেন গাছে । একে minority face । তার ওপর গুণ্ডা control করার qualityটাও আছে । পাশাপাশি নিজস্বতা বলে কিছুই নেই । ফলে আনুগত্যে চিড় ধরবে না সহজে । আর এখন ডোবার এই সময়ে এই ধরণের লোকই দরকার । ফলে ফেলে দেওয়ার প্রশ্নই নেই । হাকিমকে সামনে রেখেই election এ যাবেন নেত্রী । এবং অবধারিত ভাবে ডুববেনও । দেওয়ালের লিখন স্পষ্ট । যদি না অলৌকিক কোন অংকে নৌকাডুবি আটকায় !!  
কলকাতা কর্পোরেশনের অন্দর মহলের খবর যারা রাখেন তারাও জানেন কি পরিমাণ চুরি হয় সেখানে । ২৪ হাজার পদ অপূর্ণ । দাদাদের দিদিদের নেতাদের ভাগ্নে ভাগ্নিতে ভর্তি contractual staff দিয়ে ঠেলে ঠুলে চলছে । শোভন  চট্টোপাধ্যায় কাজটা বুঝতেন । হাকিম বোঝার ভণিতা টা ভালো করেন । কথা বার্তা শুনলে মনে হবে কৃষ্টি সংস্কৃতির ঠিকাদার । কথায় কথায় রবীন্দ্রনাথ, নজরুল, শ্রী চৈতন্য আওড়ান । ওদিকে  হাবে ভাবে কেউ কেটা গোছের একটা ভাব । ‘ম্যায় হুঁ ডন’ স্টাইল নিয়ে চলা ফেরা করেন ।  দিদির ‘ববি’ । জোর করে  চাপিয়ে দেওয়া  ‘কলকাতার মুখ’ ।        

সেই মুখেই আজ শুনলাম - সাড়ে ৫ হাজার নয় সাড়ে ১৫ হাজার গাছ পড়েছে কলকাতায় । মানলাম, বুঝলামও । কিন্তু এটা বুঝতে হাকিমের সময় লাগালো সাত দিন ? সেনা নামাতে লাগল সত্তর ঘণ্টা ? enough is enough বলতে লাগলো ৯৬ ঘণ্টা ? রাস্তায় নিজেকে নামাতে লাগলো সাত দিন ? তাও আবার হাইড্রলিক ল্যাডার দিয়ে গাছ তোলার সময় cameraর ফ্রেমে থাকার জন্য ? 

ভাবছিলাম - কত পরীক্ষা দেবে এভাবে  কলকাতা ? দিন রাত জেগে, আলো না পেয়ে, জল না পেয়ে কলকাতার আবাল বৃদ্ধ বণিতা যখন পথ অবরোধ করেছেন তখন কোথায় ছিলেন হাকিম ? কোথায় ছিল কাউন্সিলর কিমবা বরো কমিটি ?? আড়ালে থেকে পড়ে যাওয়া গাছের কাঠের গুঁড়ি গুনছিলেন ? সওদার আশায় ?

১৩৫ কিলো মিটারের একটা ঝড় ধৈর্যের পরীক্ষা নিয়ে গেল শহরের । কলকাতা কতটা সহ্য করতে পারে, তার । বুঝে গেল - জাতটা বাঙালি । ধাক্কা না মারলে ঘুম ভাঙে না এদের । expiry date ওভার হওয়া mayor এর পদে বসানো একটা অপদার্থকে ধীরে ধীরে গেলানো হচ্ছিল শহরকে ।   

Cyclone #Amphan চোখে আঙুল দিয়ে বুঝিয়ে দিয়ে গেল এবার কাজটা কি কলকাতার মানুষের ।

Firhad Hakim, the erstwhile Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation got an apt reply from a responsible Indian citizen for demeaning the Indian Army.
The services of the Army was requisitioned 72 hrs after the scary Cyclone Amphan of Wednesday, 2020-05-20 wreaked havoc in Kolkata and the districts of West Bengal.
The army worked tirelessly to bring back a semblance of normalcy in the city by cutting down/ removing the fallen trees which had snapped power supply and blocked roads.
Firhad Hakim (Bobby) ridiculed the army and compared them to the efforts of miniature squirrels in Ramayana during the construction of Ram Setu over the ocean.

It's the Indians in Indian Army who are helping Kolkata and West Bengal to get back to normal after Cyclone Amphan in May 2020

Salute and respect to the great organization, viz. the INDIAN ARMY. Salute to it's great people who hail from every corner of India and are recruited, trained, disciplined and bonded together to respond to any and every need of BHARATMATA.
With a ruptured ego, WB government sought the help of army post Cyclone #Amphan to bring Kolkata and West Bengal limping back to life at lightning speed.
These great people in Indian Army are INDIANS/ HINDUSTANIS/ BHARATBASHI and not Bangalis.
Indians in Indian Army always rush to aid every Indian, and not specifically Bangalis, Marathis, Malayalis, Punjabis.
They protect every INDIAN/ HINDUSTANI citizen irrespective of whether the citizen is a fish lover or a guthka lover or an idli lover or poha lover or makki ki roti lover.
They don't speak in Bangla or Marathi or Assamese while they are away from home for months at a stretch.
Nor are they given instructions in writing in Bangla.
Even while West Bengal is ravaged by the killer pandemic and the after effects of the deadly cyclone, a new irrelevant tribe of ungrateful self proclaimed intellectuals are even more active in obliquely trying to promote the narrative that Bangla speaking Bangalis could have also done what the 'gutkha-kor' Biharis or UPites or Odiyas who are the lifeline of CESC or WBSEB linesmen do or what the Malayali/ Manipuri lady nurses in private hospitals do.
The tribe of #QualifiedUneducated ('MURKH') are mainly local state government working or retired employees, who get their bloated salary/ pension cheques credited to their bank accounts without doing anything. They are not the Bengali middle-class. They project themselves as middle-class but have already acquired a lot of slush wealth stacked somewhere while behaving like 'people of the masses' intellectual commies.
With ample time at their disposal they are trying to gain relevance by drumming up sentiments of 'unemployable and lazy'  Bangalis.
Narrating 50 or 250 Bangla verses from the works of the great bards Bengal produced decades ago doesn't make people educated. It's the upbringings, exposure, modesty, inter-personal interactions, propensity to truly help which matters.
They should sniff the fresh air and acknowledge that it's important to be honest mentors of future generations. Degrees acquired through plagiarized knowledge are worth nothing more than tissues to wipe derriere. Those trash of papers don't make one a mentor.
New India is already exposing their bluffs. They will now be individually named and shamed. It will not be long before these idiots will have to run for cover to the nearest available rathole.
People or the 'non-cohesive' forces who can't identify themselves as Indians first are diabolical crooks which the country can do without!

Sabyasachi Dutta says that all disaster control equipments bought by him for Salt Lake during his era has been sold off by TMC administrators

Hear the reality of Salt Lake, post Cyclone Amphan which wreaked havoc on 2020-05-20, from none other than the erstwhile Mayor of Salt Lake (Bidhannagar Municipality), Sabyasachi Dutta till about a year ago and now with the BJP.
The Municipality is under the control of TMC, the political party in power in West Bengal.
Trees are still blocking the major thoroughfares. Parts of the satellite city adjoining Kolkata is still without power and water supply.
Dutta is heard saying that all new disaster control equipments bought by him during his era has been sold off on the sly by utterly corrupt administrators.
For the uninitiated, Salt Lake is Kolkata's dream residential locality.

"Chop my head off" was her new rhetoric on 23rd May 2020 after she has failed miserably post Cyclone Amphan

Post Cyclone Amphan people had been without water and electricity after 75+ hrs even on Saturday, 2020-05-23. People in Kolkata and the affected districts have become very vocal after HER entire administration were caught with their pants down in terms of unpreparedness.
Amidst all that, hear her chant her rhetoric to cover up her utter failure.
In a press meet on 23rd May at her office in Nabanna, she is clearly heard asking people to 'chop off her head' in lieu of basic needs.
She went to the extent of blaming the 34 yrs of Left rule to put the blame on CESC and justify why people have to live without electricity.

HER fanboys/ fangirls get hyperbole of how Bengal will never get another "leader" who can remain so "connected" to masses

During the phase of first lockdown for Covid19, fanboys / fangirls of the Bengal CM had gone into a frenzy when pictures emerged of her drawing white circles with red chalk outside vegetable markets. Those pictures were enough to send unreasoning Bengalis scared of a probable change of government in West Bengal in future, into a hyperbole of how Bengal will never get another "leader" who can remain so "connected" to masses. Soon there surfaced more WhatsApp messages with pictures of the minister standing on terraces embracing the virus, and residents of Bengal sleeping in peace. Well, we all know what conspired thereafter, including the ridiculousness of hiding actual figures and burning dead bodies secretively without informing family members.

Cut to Cyclone Amphan. She appeared on television last night to talk about the devastating effects of the cyclone in Bengal, and those same people are in a frenzy again to let the world know that they will never witness quite another "leader" like her. In all honesty, I watched her too, and did feel bad seeing her transform from a school headmaster threatening everyone of low grades in the forthcoming exams, to a timid newly-appointed teacher in an elementary school. It did hit me then as to how she must be feeling, for her to behave like that and say "Shob Dhongsho Hoye Gechhe" which meant, everything is ruined. The stormy night barely passed and there's a barrage of posts on Facebook with pictures like the one here, and messages on WhatsApp, saying things like how Bengal is all alone in this fight, that no news channels have covered the cyclone showing their indifference to Bengal, that people have done politics with her and given her no support, and whole lot of imaginary accusations. It made me check if these were true, but I found enough coverage of the cyclone on all news channels and platforms, including tweets from important government officials on the disaster. I also found out that the Home Minister of Government of India had assured both her and the Odisha CM of full support in dealing with the aftermath of the calamity, and as per the Chief of NDRF, a total of 41 NDRF teams including reserves are deployed in the two Amphan-affected states, all of which have been reviewed in a high-level meeting by the Prime Minister on Monday to take stock of the situation and review preparedness as well as briefings on evacuation plans. What else were these fanboys / fangirls expecting to be done? That all important Ministers of the Government of India along with news reporters of all channels (except Calcutta News which has been banned by the leader herself) to form a human chain along the coastline of Bengal and stop the cyclone? Is this natural or paid foolishness to expect such things?

The next thing I'm expecting to see in a week or two is, posts and news of how the Centre has extended extra help to Odisha which is why they've come back to normalcy faster than West Bengal. These people will conveniently forget that Odisha as a state is an expert in dealing with such calamities and has extra capacity in disaster resiliency and crisis response for natural or man-made disasters, and hence, they will manage to come out sooner from the aftermath of Cyclone Amphan. That is their calibre,  under the able governance of Naveen Patnaik, who is undoubtedly one of India's best Chief Ministers, who in spite of belonging to the Opposition, is not at loggerheads with the Centre for anything and everything. No one has ever asked West Bengal to not be like that. But the fact is, we are. We were like that during Communist rule, and we continue to maintain that legacy.

P.S. - Marking myself safe from the cyclone that lashed out last night, but can't be sure that I will be safe from the fanboys / fangirls I've referred to in this post. And apart from the huge losses to humans because of this Cyclone, my heart goes out to the uncountable birds who would've died last night or lost their homes, never to be considered in the death toll.
