Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, a real 'Bangali Bhadralok' was the CM of West Bengal from May 2001 to May 2011. He tried his level best to undo all the wrongdoings of his cunning predecessor Jyoti Basu.
Buddhadeb Bhattacharya unfortunately carried the tag of a leftist on his forehead. The gentleman wanted to usher in a sea change in West Bengal from industry to education to healthcare to governance. However, the diabolical commies in his own party backstabbed him in all his novel moves.
Hypocritical Bengalis who have basked and survived in the glory of the works of great freedom fighters, writers, bards, etc were instrumental in pushing West Bengal into the hands of an uncouth, uneducated and wayward person to run a government without agenda from May 2011 and again gave a similar mandate in May 2016 😡
Bengalis got what they deserved.
