Three of West Bengal's best ever musicians will compete for mindspace in Durga Puja 20021

Three of West Bengal's best ever musicians, viz. Ranu Mondal, Baisakhi Sovon duo, and Colourful Madan Mitra with Tollywood lasses (rendering Manike Mange Hite, Ta Ta Thoi Thoi and Don't Know My Name respectively) will compete for mindspace with huge speakers blaring their high voltage performance during Durga Puja 20021.
If you have 3 Durga Puja pandals in close proximity of your house, you will have a 'gala' sleepless Durga Puja in mid October 2021.

Not only Odisha, whole of India will shut its doors to Bengal. SHE has rung the death knoll for every resident of West Bengal

Odisha sealed its border with Bengal Wednesday (29 April, 2020) since 40% of the 125 COVID-positive cases in the state had travel history to Bengal. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the biggest challenge facing his state at present are returnees from Bengal.

Odisha has stopped road communication with Bengal and sealed 57 road connections with its northern neighbour. The three persons who tested COVID-positive Wednesday--a 60-year-old man from Keonjhar, a 34-year-old man from Deogarh and an 18-year-old woman in Jharsuguda--all had returned from Bengal.

Odisha’s COVID-19 tally doubled from 61 to 125 in just 10 days. As many as 50 of them had returned from Bengal. Odisha, said Patnaik, has earlier faced two challenges: foreign returnees and those who returned from the Tablighi Jamaat Markaz at Nizamuddin. “Now the challenge is to take care of our brothers and sisters returning from Bengal,” said Patnaik.

Odisha has so far tracked more than 2900 people who returned from Bengal after March 25 by tracking their mobile phones and putting them in quarantine facilities. But the state administration suspects that the number of returnees from Bengal is much more and all panchayats in the state have been asked to identify them.

Odisha’s action and pronouncements also give the lie to Bengal’s claims that all is well as far as the pandemic is concerned in that state. “If 40% of the positive cases in Odisha are returnees from Bengal, one can easily fathom the spread of the pandemic in Bengal and the actual number of cases in that state,” said a senior bureaucrat in Odisha.

Blackmarketing of liquor continued in Maheshtala, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal during lockdown

Blackmarketing of liquor continued unabated in Maheshtala, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal in early April 2020 during the nationwide 'lockdown' to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
For the uninitiated, Maheshtala is located in the southern fringes of Kolkata metropolis.

News about home delivery of liquor in West Bengal w.e.f 2020-04-08 is being claimed as fake

News about home delivery of liquor in West Bengal w.e.f 2020-04-08 during the nationwide lockdown period was labelled as fake by the state administration after the huge dissent that was visible on social media. The administration should have admitted to its faux-pas to earn respect from people.

Once the news went viral, Bengal chief secretary Rajiva Sinha refuted the excise department's claim and said "No order issued by the state government."

There are innumerable websitewebsites and social media pages which carried the news:

Durg (CG) to WB by bicycle during lockdown against Coronavirus in March 2020

Durg (CG) to districts in West Bengal (1100+ kms) by bicycle towards the end of 1st week of nationwide lockdown against Coronavirus/ Covid19 in end-March 2020 by about 35 migrant labourers.
Almost all of them had very little money left in their pockets and most were riding empty stomach.
The location appears to be somewhere in the jungles of Sirpur and Barnawapara (CG) on erstwhile NH6.

TMC councillor from Asansol asked Muslim community members to flout lockdown against CoronaVirus

Akhtar Hussain, the TMC Councillor in Asansol, West Bengal blatantly appealed to his fellow Muslim community members to gather, flouting the nationwide call for lockdown for 21 days w.e.f 2020-03-25 to curb the spread of CoronaVirus/ Covid19.
His act which was captured in video happened within the first two days of the 'Lockdown Against Coronavirus' has possibly jeopardized the lives of thousands of people.
Why didn't West Bengal Police thrash him black and blue?
Doesn't this Muslim councillor's boss who is the proprietress of the political party he represents know about his detestable behavior?
Why doesn't SHE go ahead and earn a few brownie points by sacking and ordering some harsh actions against this illiterate guy who represents her major chunk of her vote bank?

The prime mover in West Bengal is sick

When the prime mover/ leader is sick and flawing, the health and mentality of the followers/ subjects isn't too difficult to guess!
Spotted the sick duo on Wednesday, 2019-10-16 around 9.30pm, a Mahindra Scorpio with a red beacon which fell ill while trying to haul a seriously ill Tata Sumo with a blue beacon in a busy thoroughfare in Kolkata. Both the sick units on wheels belong to the Republic of West Bengal.
It's a different matter that flaunting of beacons on VIP vehicles are banned across the rest of India. Who cares?

65 'sarkari' schools in West Bengal have started teaching English in their schools

65 'sarkari' schools in Waste Bengal have started teaching English in their schools w.e.f. Wednesday, 2019-01-02, the day the new academic session started.
And what are they going to teach on the #inspiration (#anuprerona) of the 'Greatest gift of God to Bengali mankind?
It surely would be a whole bunch of stinking #RottenEnglish, viz.
* Safe Drive Save Life;
* No Rough Drive;
* Wear Helmet for Two Wheeler Drive;
* Bangladesh is the border of Pakistan;
* Lessons on 'phedaral' India;
* etc, etc, etc .....the list is endless.

This will be another great initiative to ensure that Bengalis become greater laughing stock.

Long overdue DA payout to West Bengal govt employees

I am sure you too have guessed the name of a living person in Bengal (as in January 2019) whose behavior is akin to the cashier of yesteryears.

Madan Mitra claims that he is a 'madman'

Madan Mitraji, accused and arrested by CBI in the mega ‪Saradha Scam‬ is the Transport & Sports Minister of West Bengal. On 16th December 2014 he claimed at the Alipore Court in Kolkata that he is a 'madman'.

Why was the mad mob showering tons of flowers on the police vehicle carrying the fat & shining scam accused madman to court?

Days may not be too far when brickbats will replace the petals. It's amply clear that he had cheated his own partymen by coaxing them to invest in Sudipta Sen's Saradha Group of companies.

Branding 'Idea' in Ooty

Mobile service provider 'IDEA' might think that their branding on houses on the slopes of a hill in Ooty, Tamilnadu is a fantastic idea.
It's sheer environmental pollution! The greenery on the hillside is barely visible.
What's your idea?

How not to sell West Bengal, a state in distress

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the Cheap Meenishtaar oph Waste Bengal at the flag off of 'Bengal Leads 2012' in January 2012.
Relearn your geeographi (sic), golden quadrels (sic), selling skills, life skills, etiquette. Have a hearty laugh :)
SOS! I'm going mad ... paagol baniye dichche :(
The lady is a multi-tasker ... can play kriket also :)
Don't even consider visiting Waste Bengal for a vacation. The high powered committee on industrial investment will catch you at Dum Dum airport or Howrah station and force you to invest in Egg Roll / Chowmin frying kiosks and that too in Jongol Mohol in lieu of an attractive package of 25 sq.ft of land. They will even give you a free feasibility report for exporting a part of your produce to Bangladesh & Pakistan which supposedly are located side by side.
Remember those Bangla movies during our childhood days. Anything that was commercial or industrial was projected in a very poor light. All industrialists/ businessmen were projected as lecherous villians/ criminals who were beaten up black & blue by the holy cows. Farming/ teaching/ hawking/ singing/ jatra dal'er sakhis & the likes were depicted as demi-gods. Living in poverty in shanties was eulogised.
In early 2011 prior to the West Bengal state assembly election, her promise was to take the state back 34 yrs if voted to power. She is keeping up to the promise. Any magic wand to save us from the shackles?
I am the last person to hear statements like 'give them some more time' or 'lets wait & watch' ..... it needed less than a sparrow's brain to predict that this would be the state of affairs!
