Protesting sacked school teachers roughed up and arrested in Kolkata on 2025-05-30

Protesters who were part of the 26,000 eligible and ineligible sacked school teachers, who had been in a sit-in outside Salt Lake’s Bikash Bhawan for over 20 days, took the metro services to reach Sealdah from where their protest march was scheduled to start on Friday 2025-05-30 afternoon. 

Police with the help of civic volunteers roughed up the protestors and arrested them. 

The ineligible/ tainted are the ones who paid ₹7 - 10 lakhs each to TMChii leaders to secure a job. Mamata government refused to publish the list of tainted ineligible/ teachers to save their own people because the money chain would have actually ended at her own doorsteps!

Mamata feels that trained nurses in hospitals and helpers are the same

Mamata Banerjee wants to fulfill the shortage of nurses in hospitals by recruiting local Bengalis as male and female helpers and training them up for 7 days.
This was her inspiration provided to bureaucrats and hospitals in West Bengal after almost 700 nurses in various private hospitals quit their job without notice during the Covid-19 lockdown period and returned to their respective states in buses provided by those state governments.
