Mamata called a meeting in end August 2023 at Nabanna comprising of her favourite Press personnel and buddhijivis from various walks of life and proposed to change the words of a Rabindra sangeet for her desire to have a state anthem.
Sensing some degree of reluctance she suggested Dhana Dhanye Pushpe Bhora which according to her was also a Rabindra sangeet. She had no clues that it was written by Dwijendralal Ray.
