Sonia Gandhi proposed TMC-Congress merger on 2026-06-10

In a major political move on 2026-06-10, Sonia Gandhi has reportedly invited Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee to join the Congress party. Sources say Mamata has been offered the position of National Vice President, while her nephew Abhishek Banerjee has been offered National General Secretary.
