Huge sounds of explosion, 10 - 12 of them, were heard in a span of 10 minutes, exactly between 2.50 am and 3.00 am on Thursday 2025-12-18. Glass panes and wooden doors rattled of my house near Yuva Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium). Streets dogs started barking in unison and are still barking at 3.45 am. 

The sound seemed to have originated from Phoolbagan, Maniktala or further north in Kolkata. 

I am still wondering what  had happened 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Edit: By 10 am on 2025-12-18 the cause was all over the social media although what triggered the inferno in Kankurgachi, Kolkata is still not clear.
