For Anjana, the daughter of a former Major who was a victim of harassment by powerful individuals in Uttar Pradesh, the first day of the new year brought immense joy. Following strict instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police, within just 24 hours, restored her multi-crore rupee house to her and arrested the land mafia members. The harassment by these powerful individuals had been so severe that Anjana developed schizophrenia and had to seek treatment at a rehabilitation center. Anjana, who was living at the rehabilitation center, met the Chief Minister on Wednesday (December 31st, 2025) and informed him that Balwant Kumar Yadav of Chandauli had illegally occupied her house.
She received an assurance of justice from the UP Chief Minister within 24 hours, and on Thursday (January 1st, 2026), before noon, when she regained possession of her house, tears welled up in her eyes, and she exclaimed, "God bless you, Yogi Uncle!"
Anjana's father was a Major in the Army
Anjana's father, Bipin Chandra Bhatt, was a Major in the Army. He owned a house at A-418 in Indira Nagar. He passed away in 1994. Major Bhatt had one son and two daughters. His son and one daughter have also passed away. Only Anjana remained in the family. Seeing this, Balwant Yadav and Manoj Kumar Yadav put up their own sign on her property and began harassing her. Due to suffering from schizophrenia, Anjana was taken to the Nirvan Rehabilitation Center in 2016. She began receiving treatment there under the care of the doctors and has been living there ever since.
She met the CM and explained her problem; the solution came in 24 hours
Meanwhile, Balwant Yadav had transferred the house to his name using forged documents. When Anjana learned of this, she requested a meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On December 31st (Wednesday evening), the Chief Minister called her to his office and listened carefully to the plight of the daughter of a soldier who had served the country. The victim informed the Chief Minister that in recent days, Balwant Yadav, a resident of Chandauli, had occupied the house using forged documents. A sign bearing Balwant Kumar's name had also been put up on the house.
On December 6, 2025, she submitted a written application to the local police station, requesting that the house be vacated. When the process was delayed, she met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and narrated her ordeal.
Anjana found solace thanks to the Chief Minister's compassion!
Dr. Santosh Dubey of the rehabilitation center said, "In 2016, we brought Anjana to the rehabilitation center. She received care and treatment there. A few days ago, we received a complaint about the house being illegally occupied, following which a written application was submitted to the police station. Afterward, we met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday. Following the instructions received from the CM, the local administration and police team immediately became active and, after an investigation, restored her possession of the house within 24 hours."
Anjana's eyes welled up with tears upon entering her home.
In the presence of police and army officers, as soon as Anjana entered her house on Thursday (January 1), tears welled up in her eyes. She went into every room, kissed the walls. Then she came outside, broke a coconut, lit a lamp, and offered flowers, reliving memories of her past. She hugged the neighborhood women and started crying, recounting her childhood memories. After entering her home, Anjana, overwhelmed with emotion, had tears of joy in her eyes. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from the bottom of her heart. She said, "Yogi Uncle is great. He helped us in our time of distress. Thank you, Yogi Uncle! God bless you." Two arrested, including the accused, within 24 hours of meeting the CM.
After Anjana met with the CM, the police became more active. The police immediately started an investigation into the matter and restored Anjana's possession of her house. ACP Ghazipur Anindya Vikram Singh said, "In this case, the accused Balwant Kumar Yadav alias Bablu, son of Ramdulare Yadav, resident of Narayanpur village, Saiyadraja-Chandauli, and Manoj Kumar Yadav, son of late Umashankar Yadav, resident of Daudpur-Kotwali police station, Chandauli, were arrested on Thursday, January 1, 2026."
