Raised Maoist slogans but assembled to protest for clean air

The Delhi Police has invoked charges under 'imputations and assertions prejudicial to national integration' in one of the FIRs registered against a group of protesters who allegedly raised pro-Maoist slogans and used pepper spray on police personnel during an anti-pollution demonstration at the India Gate on Sunday, an official said on Tuesday 2025-11-25.

On Monday, the Delhi Police told a court that the group of protesters arrested for allegedly using pepper spray on cops raised slogans hailing slain Maoist leader Madvi Hidma.

The police have registered two different FIRs – one at the Kartavya Path police station against six protesters and the other at the Sansad Marg police station against 17 people.

The new section has been added to the Kartavya Path FIR. After the accused were produced before two magisterial courts, 22 were sent to judicial custody.

The newly-added Section 197 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) pertains to imputations and assertions prejudicial to national integration, which includes charges for disseminating false information that endangers India's sovereignty, unity, or security.

The FIR said the protesters raised alleged Maoist slogans, including "Hidma amar rahe", "Kitne Hidma maroge, har ghar se Hidma nikalega" and "Hidma lal salaam", prompting the addition of Section 197 for assertions deemed prejudicial to national integration.

Top Maoist commander Madvi Hidma, who masterminded several attacks over the past two decades, was killed in an encounter on November 18, a breakthrough the Chhattisgarh Police described as the "last nail in the coffin" of the insurgency.

Security forces gunned down Hidma, his wife Raje, and four other Naxalites in the action in Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitaramaraju district.

According to the Kartavya Path FIR, police had prior information that protesters under the banner of the Delhi Coordination Committee for Clean Air were planning to assemble at the India Gate.

The Kartavya Path FIR now includes sections 74, 79, 115(2), 132, 197, 221 and 223 of the BSS, while the FIR lodged at the Parliament Street police station includes charges under BNS sections 223A, 132, 221, 121A and 126(2).

In Madhya Pradesh, a man named Palash Adhikari was detained on suspicion of being an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant. The police refused to accept his Indian identity documents, like Aadhaar card, voter ID, PAN card, and others, claiming he was not a genuine citizen, despite his insistence that he was a Hindu Indian from West Bengal.

The case reached court, where Palash confidently provided his details:

* Name: Palash Adhikari  

* Age: 42  

* Father’s name: Ramesh Adhikari  

* Native place: Kashimpur, Malda, West Bengal  

Initial verification through the Election Commission’s voter list and Aadhaar database appeared to support him. Ramesh Adhikari, born in 1962 in Malda, had been a registered voter since 1984. His family including his wife and four sons (Palash, Subrata, Soumen, and Rahul) were listed on the current voter rolls. On paper, everything seemed legitimate, prompting demands for Palash’s immediate release.

Yet the judge remained uneasy and ordered a deeper probe. Older records were pulled out:

* The 2002 Special Investigation Report (SIR) for the area listed Ramesh Adhikari as having only two sons: Subrata and Soumen.  

* The 2010 voter list showed the same, only Subrata and Soumen. No Palash, no Rahul.  

* Suddenly, in the 2015 voter list, two additional sons, Palash and Rahul, appeared out of nowhere.

Palash claimed his name had simply been “added” in 2015.

Further scrutiny of family timelines made the story collapse. Ramesh Adhikari had married in 1993. His first son, Subrata, was born in 1995 (currently 30), and the second, Soumen, in 1997 (currently 28). A 42-year-old son would mean Ramesh fathered him around 1983, ten years before his marriage and when his documented older sons would have been negative ages.

💥Mathematics was impossible.

Confronted with the contradictions, the man finally admitted his real identity: he was Sheikh Moinuddin, originally from Ahmedpur in Khulna, Bangladesh. Ramesh Adhikari, a local farmer who was later questioned, confirmed he had never heard of anyone named Palash or Rahul Adhikari and had only two sons. He had no idea HOW A COMPLETE STRANGER FROM BANGLADESH HAD INSERTED himself into his family records AS A THIRD SON.

For the past decade, under the assumed Hindu identity of Palash Adhikari, Sheikh Moinuddin had lived in India as a migrant labourer while allegedly engaging in extremist activities.

The case exposed a serious loophole: thousands of infiltrators have reportedly managed to insert themselves into voter lists and obtain official Indian documents by exploiting weak verification processes, porous borders, and sometimes local complicity. The incident has renewed calls for a comprehensive, nationwide re-verification of voter rolls and identity documents to weed out such fraudulent entries.

In other words, Tejaswi Yadav was just a balloon which was inflated in last two elections by fake voters (including Kanglus and Rohingyas).

The ECI punctured it effectively through SIR.

▪︎ Congress is sitting pretty at the 6th position. Even Owaisi's party is performing better than them.

▪︎ Mahathugbandhan's defeat is so complete that even Tejaswi Yadav is trailing in his Raghopur seat, behind BJP's Satish Kumar.

▪︎ I was quite concerned about whether Bihari voters will get misled by Tejaswi like it happened in last two assembly elections. But they proved me wrong. 🙏

▪︎ SIR will also do wonders in other poll-bound states like Waste Bεngal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. 

Last but not the least, my heartfelt appreciation to the one and only Jan-Nayak of India and BJP's star campaigner Rahul Gandhi. 💐

He played a stupendous role in upsetting whatever slim chances Tejaswi had (through vote-chori narrative) and then left for foreign vacation - just like Shalya of Mahabharat deliberately getting Karna's chariot stuck in the hole and then abandoning him in the middle of the battle. 

Also Shalya was maternal uncle of Pandavas and he was only pretending to fight on Kauravas' side.

Rahul Gandhi is also doing exactly the same for I.N.D.I alliance.
