Didir Kirti - Compensation to bereaved families of Coromandel Express accident paid in cash

Compensation of ₹2 lakhs to each of the 103 bereaved families of the Coromandel Express crash at Bahanaga, near Balasore were paid in cash and that too in ₹2000 currency notes which were declared non legal tenders by the RBI in May 2023. 

This was another glaring example of wrongdoing by Mamata Banerjee. 

Questions were obviously raised on how and why WB government paid over ₹2 crores in cash.
