Old memories rekindled. 

My employer Castrol (used to be known as Indrol Lubricants and Specialities Ltd those days) used to be the top performer vis-a-vis its face value of Rs. 10. The contest used to be between Ingersoll Rand and my employer. The face value used to be Rs. 10 for both. 

It was possibly from 1989-90 that mention of face value was made mandatory so that investors were not misled.
