'Golden Kayaloram' tower besides the backwater lake in Maradu, Kochi, Kerala was imploded along with 3 more apartment complexes, viz. Alfa Serene, Holy Faith H2O, Jains Coral Cove on 11th and 12th January, 2020 following a final judgement by the Supreme Court of India on 2019-05-08.
The apex Court ruled that the residential towers were built flouting Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules and that had contributed to the 2018 floods in Kerala.
