Burqa-clad candidate at NEET-UG re-examination centre in Ajmer refused to remove burqa on 2026-06-21

A burqa-wearing candidate at a NEET-UG re-examination centre in Ajmer, Rajasthan, on Sunday 2026-06-21 alleged that she was prevented from entering the examination venue unless she removed her burqa and dupatta. The candidate, Kulsum Bano, who had travelled from Beawar to appear for the medical entrance test, claimed she was wearing the same attire as during her previous attempt on May 3. "I have come from Beawar to take the NEET exam. When I took the exam on May 3rd, I was in the same attire then as I am now: wearing a burqa and a dupatta," she said.

Bano alleged that she was first asked to remove her dupatta to enter the centre, but officials later insisted that she also remove her burqa.

"Initially, they said I would have to remove the dupatta to enter; then they insisted I had to remove the burqa as well. If the NTA has permitted us, these people cannot stop us," she said.

Online and offline behavior of young Indian techies speak really bad of the bosses and the tech companies that employ them

I read this phrase on a biker's post "Google Maps fucked up ...." while approving a travelogue in a travel group in the social media.
My blood boiled. I predicted the guy's demographic profile without any goof-up.
He was one of those 'idiots' (their peers love addressing everyone that), an engineer from one of those hopeless 7300 engineering colleges. The world knows them as business analysts, tech specialists, business process leads, consultants and the shit.
And then there's a huge number of today's techies who consider it hugely fashionable to use expletives like MC, BC, F###, etc in almost every sentence they write or utter to announce to the world that they have 'arrived' :( My foot!
The behavior of these guys are plain repulsive.
If these buggers would have aspired to work in truly worthy companies like HUL, P&G, Nestle India, Bunge India, Colgate India, GSK, Castrol India, Kellogg's India, Mondelez India, Perfetti India, Allergan, Titan Industries, Britannia Industries, Marico Industries, etc & used such expletives even remotely, they + their CVs would have got kicked around from door-to-door for the next 25 - 30 yrs.
The online and offline behavior of these 20 or 30 something techies in India speak really bad of the bosses and the tech companies that employ them.
I love it every time Mr. Donald Trump sneezes and the techies start wetting their pants :P

51% students have failed in the Class X exams of Haryana Board in 2016

A whopping 51% students have failed in the Class X exams of 2016 held by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE). The result was declared on 2016-05-22.
The overall pass percentage is 48.88%, which is only marginally better (up 3%) than last year's figures. This is despite the tall claims of the BJP government to raise the standard of education, according to reports in the print media. As in the previous year, girls once again outperformed boys with a success rate of 52.62% compared to 45.71% that of boys.
The only silver lining is government schools outperforming private schools, with the pass percentage rising from a mere 30.32% last year to 42.25% this year.
Rural students too performed better than those in cities.
Haryana Board of School Education chairman Dr Jagbir Singh felt that the policy not to fail students up to Class VIII was responsible for the poor show.
