An FIR has been registered against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra over alleged defamation of a West Bengal poll observer and Uttar Pradesh police officer Ajay Pal Sharma.
The complaint alleges that a video circulated on social media was a fake AI-generated clip intended to mislead the public and damage the officer’s reputation. The FIR was filed at Mandir Marg police station in Central Delhi, accusing Moitra of attempting to tarnish the image of the IPS officer through circulation of the video. Authorities have not yet announced further legal action in the case.
