Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was invited to President Droupadi Murmu’s state banquet honouring Russian President Vladimir Putin on 2025-12-05.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi were excluded. Tharoor said that he attended the dinner in his capacity as Foreign Affairs Committee chairman.
