According to initial media reports, Salman had sold the car in Okhla and it was later resold to a man with suspicious links in Pulwama. Authorities are now tracking all owners in the chain to determine how the vehicle ended up at the site. None of the pre-owned car buyers had got the Hyundai i20 car re-registered in their own names but were driving it all over North India.

Lesson to be learned:
Selling/ buying/ exchanging a pre-owned car is not as simple as the favourite tiffin you shared with your close friends in school!
The onus of all deeds and misdeeds pertaining to automobiles rests on the person whose name features in the registration certificate. Signing Form 29, 30 while selling/ buying a pre-owned automobile is not enough.
