TRAI Has Recommended Mandatory Caller Name Display for Telecom Operators

TRAI Has Recommended Mandatory Caller Name Display for Telecom Operators

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has proposed that all telecom operators implement a Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) service, which would display the caller's name on the recipient's phone screen. This measure aims to enhance user security by reducing spam and fraudulent calls. The displayed names would be sourced from the information provided during the SIM card application process.
