হাওড়া সিটি পুলিশ কমিশনার সি সুধাকর এক সইয়ে ট্রান্সফার । 

হাওড়া গ্রামীণ পুলিশ সুপার সৌম্য রায় এক সইয়ে ট্রান্সফার ।

লোকে কি বুঝল ?

বুঝল মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কি টাফ। কাউকে ছাড়েন না । অঙ্কুরহাটিতে, পাঁচলায়, ডোমজুড়ে যা হয়েছে তার জন্য বাঘা বাঘা অফিসার পর্যন্ত ট্রান্সফার করে ছাড়লেন । কড়া প্রশাসক । 

বাস্তবে কি ? বাস্তবতা বলছে যেদিন ১১ ঘন্টার অবরোধ শুরু হল সেদিন বারবার হাওড়া গ্রামীণ জেলা পুলিশ, হাওড়া সিটি পুলিশ নির্দেশ চেয়েছিল রাজ্য স্বরাষ্ট্র দফতরের, আই জি ল এন্ড অর্ডারের । উত্তর কি পেয়েছিল ? ধীরে চল। ওয়েট এন্ড সি । পরিস্থিতির দিকে নজর রাখুন । প্রতি মিনিটের আপডেট পাঠান । কত লোক, কোন দিক থেকে তারা মুভ করছে, কি তাদের স্লোগান, এগ্রেসিভ কি না, নেতৃত্বে কারা।

জেলা পুলিশের বার্তা ছিল সিগনাল দিলে আধ ঘন্টা সময় লাগবে মব সরাতে । বলপ্রয়োগ ছাড়াই । প্রয়োজনে জল কামান লাগতে পারে । ফোর্স বাড়াতে হবে শুধু ।

এই সংবাদ গুলো পেলাম হাওড়া পুলিশের খবর রাখেন এমন এক প্রাক্তন পুলিশ অফিসারেরই কাছে । আজ দুপুরে ।

তারপর সেই সিগন্যাল ওপর তলা থেকে আসেনি । শুধু মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নবান্নে প্রেস ডেকে শুধুই হাত জোড় করে গেছেন । সিগনাল দেননি । 

ততক্ষণে রাত এগারোটায় যা ক্ষতি করে দেওয়ার দিয়ে "মব" যখন বিশ্রাম নিতে গেছেন অবরোধ উঠেছে প্রায় নিজের উদ্যোগেই ।

ঘটনা যা শুনলেন এরপরও বলতে হবে পুলিশ দায়ী ? বলতে হবে হাওড়া সিটি এবং গ্রামীণ পুলিশ অপদার্থ ? ঘটনা হল মমতা নিজেও তাই বিশ্বাস করেন না । এই হুলিগানিজম তিনি হতে দিয়েছেন তিনি নিজেও জানেন । মুখ্য সচিব, স্বরাষ্ট্র সচিব, আই জি ল এন্ড অর্ডার সবাই জানেন এই সত্যটা । তাও বদলি হলেন দুই কর্তা জাস্ট আই ওয়াস করতে । লোককে বোঝাতে যে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কাউকে রেয়াত করেন না । এই বার্তাটা দিতে ।

মজা হল এই যে পাছে এই দুই পুলিশ কর্তা না চটেন তাঁদের কিন্তু প্রাইজ পোষ্টিং দেওয়া হল । সি সুধাকর কে আনা হল কলকাতার জয়েন্ট সি পি পদে, সৌম্য রায়কে আনা হল দক্ষিণ কলকাতায় সম্ভবত ডেপুটি কমিশনার করে ।

অপদার্থতার জন্য তো শাস্তি হয়, প্রাইজ পোষ্টিং হয় কেউ শুনেছেন ? এই ক্ষেত্রে কিন্তু তাই হল । একটা গাঢ় অন্ধকারকে এভাবে আলো দিয়ে ঢাকা হল ।

 যাঁদের ঘর জ্বলল, যাঁদের বাড়ি জ্বলল, যে অসংখ্য যাত্রী ট্রেনে, বাসে, গাড়িতে, টু হুইলারে সেদিন জীবন যন্ত্রণা ভোগ করল তারা জানলো মুখ্যমন্ত্রী স্ট্রং একশন নিয়েছেন । খোদ আই পি এস দের ঘাড় ধাক্কা দিয়ে জেলা থেকে বার করে দিয়েছেন ।

এটাই হল মমতার রাজনীতি ! যাঁরা তাঁকে চেনেন, জানেন দৃষ্টি ঘোরানোর খেলাতেই তিনি আসল ডিলিট পাওয়ার অধিকারী । অন্য কারণগুলো মেকী । এবং নেহাতই ফেক । হাওড়া কাণ্ডে তাঁর পুলিশ ট্রান্সফার সেই ঘরানার একটি অংশ মাত্র । 

আনন্দবাজার, বর্তমান, এইসময় এই ধ্রুব সত্য নিয়ে কাল সকালে দু কলি লিখবে না ।

মিলিয়ে নেবেন । লিখবে হাওড়া কাণ্ডে "মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ভীষণ কড়া" ।
