To mark the Teachers’ Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed school children from across the country via a satellite link on 5th September 2014.
Here are the ten lessons that Modi taught the children:
1. Keep the child alive in you.
2. Politics is a service. One who is in politics should serve people like his or her family member.
3. If a girl is educated, the entire family is educated.
4. A teacher’s job is to discover the hidden talent of a student.
5. One should dream about doing something, not becoming someone.
6. I am a taskmaster.
7. While experience has been my best teacher, I also believe that good teachers and education were also equally important in building up my life.
8. You should read about lives of people who have been successful in life.
9. I am focussing on Digital India so modern technology reaches our children and in different languages.
10. Serving the nation does not only mean doing grand things. Doing small things is a big service to the nation.
