Bihar’s Maulana Abdullah Salim obscenely abused Yogi Ji's late mother on May 5, 2024 since UP has strict laws protecting Gau Mata. In February-March 2026, the video suddenly went viral. Hundreds of FIRs were lodged in police stations throughout UP. The maulana was confident that Yogiji's police can't nab him.

In end March 2026, he's seen begging on camera for forgiveness, claiming it was a "mistake" and wants Hindus to forgive him.

Maulana Abdullah Salim, a resident of Araria district said that on May 5, 2024, while attending a social reform and educational awareness conference in Miran Chak, Bhagalpur district, he delivered a speech where he made certain inappropriate and objectionable remarks about the UP CM’s mother, which he regrets.
