Didir Baani - 2025-10-12 - Why the rape victim allowed to step outside the IQ City Medical College campus at night

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee opened her mouth on Sunday 2025-10-12 and commented on the gangrape of a 23 years old medical student of IQ City Medical College and Hospital in Durgapur on 2025-10-10 evening. Responding publicly for the first time, she questioned why the victim was allowed to step outside the college premises late at night. “She was studying in a private medical college. Whose responsibility is it? How did she come out at 12.30 am? Girls should not be allowed to go outside at night. They have to protect themselves too,” she said.
