Moonlighting? 

A strict NO for me.
Simply unthinkable. 

I remember boooooting out a Kolkatan in possibly his late 30s from Indian Roadie. He was the ubiquitous ITwala who was a pass out from some Ghanta Institute of Technology. He was extremely vocal in favour of MOONLIGHTING. Although he was pretty close to me, I was almost sure that he would backsta*b me sooner or later immediately after he got into a heated debate with me one evening on why he felt that moonlighting was his birthright.
I placed him under my virtual scanner. With almost 4 decades of experience in sales/ marketing/ communication, mingling around with thousands of people from all walks of life, I was certain that he just can't be an ethical person. Within about 6 months after that debate, he bared his fangs late one evening. It was clear that he reared an unprecedented level of grudge against me because I was not in the same page as him with respect to 'moonlighting'.
Needless to mention, I was Happy To Evict him from my professional initiatives after he stooped down to foul mouthing me on the phone. 

I am absolutely on the same page with Mr. Narayan Moorthy.

আপনারা অনেকেই জানেন, মার্কিন মহিলাকে বিয়ে করাটাও সফলতার আর একটা রাস্তা, যেটা অনেকেই করেছেন, খ্যাতি নোবেল দুটোই পেয়েছেন। 

ইউনূসের মেয়ে মনিকা, মার্কিন সোপ্রানো সঙ্গীত শিল্পী, যিনি বিখ্যাত অপেরা দল নিউইয়র্ক মেট্রোপলিটান অপেরা সহ বিভিন্ন অপেরা এবং সঙ্গীতদলের সঙ্গে সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন করে থাকেন।

ইউনূসের আর এক মেয়ে ডিনা আফরোজ ইউনূস, যার মায়ের নাম আফরোজি ইউনূস। ইউনূসের এই মেয়ে ব্রিটেনে আইনজীবী।

দুই মেয়েই আধুনিক শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত এবং একজন আমেরিকায় আর একজন ব্রিটেনের বাসিন্দা। এই পর্যন্ত, কোন ভুল নেই। সব বাবাই চান, তাঁর ছেলেমেয়েরা আধুনিক শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়ে সমাজে নিজের পরিচয় গড়ে তুলুক। ইউনূস চেয়েছেন আর তাঁর মেয়েরা এখন নিজের নিজের দুনিয়ায় সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত।

কিন্তু সমস্যা অন্য জায়গায়। যে সমস্যাটা সৃষ্টি করেছেন এরকম বহু ইউনূস। নিজের ছেলেমেয়েদের উচ্চ শিক্ষা, আধুনিক শিক্ষা দিয়েছেন, মৌলবাদী ধর্মান্ধতা থেকে আলাদা করেছেন, কিন্তু দেশের বাকিদের সেই অন্ধকারেই আরও ঠেলে দিয়েছেন।

ইউনূসের দুই মেয়ে যেখানে আছে, সেখানে কেউ বিশ্বাস করবে, শুধুমাত্র প্রতিবাদী হবার জন্য একজন হিন্দু সন্ন্যাসীকে বিনা বিচারে জেলে রাখা হয়েছে? আইনজীবীদের ভয় দেখিয়ে, মারধোর করে, মামলা দিয়ে, বিচারের নামে প্রহসন হচ্ছে? ইউনূসের আইনজীবী মেয়ে কি এটা জানেন? নাকি মার্কিনী মনিকা, তার আব্বার দেশের এই ঘটনা বিশ্বাস করবে?

নিজের মেয়েদের বিদেশে উচ্চশিক্ষা আর দেশের বাকিদের মত গোঁড়া ধর্মান্ধ মৌলবাদী বানিয়ে ফেলার তুমুল উৎসব চলছে। যার প্রধান উপদেষ্টার নাম *মুহম্মদ ইউনূস*। বলেছিলাম না, আমেরিকার দয়ায় আর দোয়ায় যারা নোবেল পায়, পৃথিবীতে চরম শয়তান তারাই হয়। টাইটেল ইউনূস, ব্যানার্জী বা সেন যাই হোক না কেন। দেশের কোন কাজে এটা লাগে না, এটাই চরম সত্য যেটা আমরা মানতে চাইনা।

সমস্যা হচ্ছে, ভারত পাকিস্তান বা বাংলাদেশের মুসলমানরা বোঝেই না, তাদের পক্ষে ভালোটা কি। এদেরকে সহজেই টুপি পরিয়ে রাখা যায়। কিছু মানুষ নিজেদের উন্নতি করে নিচ্ছে বাকিদের অন্ধকারে রেখে, কয়েকশো বছর পিছিয়ে দিয়ে। মহম্মদ ইউনুস যার জ্বলন্ত উদাহরণ...তবু কি অন্ধদের চৈতন্য হবে?

মুসলমানদের পাশাপাশি এই চৈতন্য, হিন্দুদেরও কোনদিন হবে না...এটাই দুঃখের...
